Gopi Krishna hospital’s orthopedics department is being run by its director Dr D P Goyal since last 35 years . He is being assisted by Dr Praveen Goyal. Our orthopedics department has fully operational fully Modular OT , state of the art C – Arm machine (image intensifior) , latest X Ray machine and a separate plaster OT (minor procedure room).

Bone Fractures: Causes & Symptoms

Causes:

  • Road accidents, falls, sports injuries

  • Osteoporosis or cancer (pathological fractures)

Symptoms:

  • Pain, swelling, bruising

  • Visible deformity

  • Inability to move the limb

Types of Bone Fractures Treated

  • Closed (simple) and Open (compound) fractures

  • Greenstick (common in children)

  • Hairline/stress, comminuted, and compression fractures

Patient Self-Care Guidance

  • Protect the limb, avoid wetting the cast

  • Use slings/crutches as advised

  • Avoid driving or heavy lifting until cleared
